Bill Nash is a photographer living and working in Phoenix, AZ. His
career has taken him all over the US, affording him incredible
opportunities to photograph this beautiful world we live in.
"I've had a camera around, most of my life. My dad put my first camera in my hand when I was a boy, a little Kodak number that shot 4x5s, and it was as if the world was suddenly mine. I've a stack of photo albums, roll after roll, shot through his Pentax SLR. I fell out of it after high school as I pursued my career, and picked it back up several years ago. It's become an amazing outlet for experimentation and creativity, as I've come full circle. So many of the things my dad taught me can be seen in this series, from the photography itself, within the applied physics in chilling and manipulating the smoke for each shot, to the digital manipulation of each shot, to refine and polish it to completion. This is the first photography series I've done, from start to finish as an intended work, and now that it's done, I can only look at it and think.. Thanks, Dad." - Bill Nash
