On Exhibit
Immersing himself in a world of color, Shain LaBarge captures things in his paintings not visible at first glance - perhaps a figure, or a face within a face.
Primarily a portrait artist, Shain made a natural progression to painting animals and is now passionate about abstract art. The common thread in Shain's diverse body of work is his use of vibrant color and powerful composition.
Reasonable offers will be considered for all of Shain's paintings at Pita Jungle. He accepts credit cards through PayPal.

On Exhibit
For the past fifteen years I have worked as a sculptor using welded steel and concrete. Most recently I decided to try painting although I have no formal art training. The pictures displayed are actually drawings scratched into black clay board and then filled in with India ink. The process is laborious because every inch of the board must be scratched with a small tool so that the colors take. Although I am not, by nature, a detail oriented individual I discovered that the process is as gratifying as the final product. I think that?s a little bit like life? I was taught to pursue the goals ahead of me rather than experiencing the joy of being exactly where I was at?moments where I experience both joy and pain. When I learned to be in the moment, especially in my art, I found peace.
