Good art and good food. Can it get any better?
Actually, I'd have to say that good literature is another close tie. Too I?ve often been impacted by profound writings without considering the source of the words that have affected me. Who are these people? Are their stories a reflection of their own tribulations? What had to have happened to shape the lives of these who have created such works? Where does or did their inspiration come from?
I decided to create these loose-styled paintings as part of my exploration of those who have helped sharpen my thinking while broadening my outlook. In a funny way, their portraits are a product of me being a product of them - even if by the smallest degree. Plus, I just wanted to make something different and fun to look at. Either way I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
