Jeff Urdang | Currently On Exhibit

Jeff Urdang is a painter, sculptor, and art educator from Flagstaff Arizona currently based out of Tucson. He completed his BFA in studio art with an emphasis in painting and sculpture at Northern Arizona University and is now working towards his MA in Arts and Visual Culture at the University of Arizona. When he concludes his master’s degree, Jeff hopes to become an art-educator for high school and higher education students where he can focus on supplementing education with visual art and studio practice. Jeff’s paintings and sculpture are largely subject to his upbringing in the high country of northern Arizona. Urdang’s paintings and sculpture depict the influence of this unique and fragile environment. He has worked as a trail construction crew member in Grand Canyon National Park as well as an arborist which have both helped to form his aesthetic as a visual artist. When Jeff has free time from producing works of visual art and his work as an art-educator, he enjoys reading and writing poetry, hiking among pine trees, fishing, and constructing furniture in his wood shop.
