This location is run by three musicians who play with the popular bands Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, El Oso Negro, and Reubens Accomplice. Barbara Black | Currently On Exhibit

Barbara Black, a local award winning artist, began her career at the age of 12 with watercolors.  She has practiced in copper work, leatherwork, ceramics, china painting and oil painting.  Barbara studied at Kerner School of Art on Fifth Avenue in Scottsdale, Arizona and at John Loo Studio in Glendale, Arizona.  In addition to her studies she has also taught oil painting techniques. 

Barbara has traveled worldwide studying artistry.  Her trips have taken her to countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Treasure Island, England, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Spain, Germany and Italy.  She also traveled to Africa, visiting Zambia, Victoria Falls, and the Zambezi River.  Lastly she spent time in Japan, Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong. During her travels she enjoys spending time in art museums, castles, cathedrals, and churches.

She has been inspired worldwide by landscape, nature, and wildlife.  She has over 60 years of experience in various art mediums, but her favorite is working with oils using pallet knife.  She has exhibited and sold her art throughout the state for many years often showing with Firebird Artists.
